Welcome, Dr. Cassie McArtor to Buckley Veterinary Hospital!
BVH is very excited to announce the addition of the very talented, Dr. Cassie McArtor to our practice! Dr. McArtor has been in practice since 2015, and is comfortable treating a wide variety of species, so give us a call to set up an appointment and get to know the new doc on the block!Dr. McArtor began her love of animals and desire to be a veterinarian while growing up in Great Falls, Montana. Throughout her childhood, she and her brother had a pet turtle, snakes, and a dove, but the most memorable to the family was "Julie" the Pekin duck.
After high school, she studied abroad in Norway for a year, then she studied Pre-Veterinary Medicine at the University of Idaho, which is where she met her wonderful husband David, a Bonney Lake native. During college she studied abroad once again, but this time just outside of Melbourne, Australia. She loved Australia so much that she ended up going back for veterinary school, spending five years at Murdoch University in Perth, Western Australia. While living in Perth, she and her husband made so many memories, but her favorite was their pet Abigail Thundertail - another Pekin duck, who loved her trips to the beach! She and her husband love to travel(they’ve covered six of the seven continents between them) and try to get outdoors as much as possible(hiking, kayaking, snorkeling, scuba diving, etc). They also love hanging out with good friends, exercising, reading good books, and watching movies and anime. Cassie is also passionate about the arts(singing, tenor saxophone, drawing).
Cassie and David are happy to be back in the Pacific NW (even if they did trade warm weather for rain) near friends and family again. Dr. McArtor looks forward to meeting you and your animal family!
